Atthapaṭisambhidāpatto hoti, dhammapaṭisambhidāpatto hoti, niruttipaṭisambhidāpatto hoti, paṭibhānapaṭisambhidāpatto hoti , yāni tāni sabrahmacārīnaṃ uccāvacāni kiṃkaraṇīyāni tattha dakkho hoti analaso tatrupāyāya vīmaṃsāya samannāgato alaṃ kātuṃ alaṃ saṃvidhātuṃ – imehi kho, bhikkhave, pañcahi dhammehi samannāgato thero bhikkhu sabrahmacārīnaṃ piyo ca hoti manāpo ca garu ca bhāvanīyo cā’’ti. 7. 持戒经
87. "诸比丘，具足五法的长老比丘，为同梵行者所喜爱、可意、尊重、可崇敬。哪五法？持戒，守护波罗提木叉律仪而住。具足威仪行处，于微细罪中见怖畏，受持学处而学；多闻，受持所闻，积集所闻，凡是那些初善、中善、后善，有义、有文的法，宣说完全圆满清净的梵行，如是诸法为他多闻、忆持、熟习、意念观察、以见善通达；善语，善言辞，具足优雅的语言，明了、流畅、能表达意义；容易获得四种增上心的现法乐住，不艰难获得，不困难获得；由于诸漏尽，现法中以自智证知、作证、具足住于无漏心解脱、慧解脱。诸比丘，具足这五法的长老比丘，为同梵行者所喜爱、可意、尊重、可崇敬。"第七。

88. ‘‘Pañcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato thero bhikkhu bahujanaahitāya paṭipanno hoti bahujanaasukhāya bahuno janassa anatthāya ahitāya dukkhāya devamanussānaṃ.

‘‘Katamehi pañcahi? Thero hoti rattaññū cirapabbajito; ñāto hoti yasassī sagahaṭṭhapabbajitānaṃ [gahaṭṭhapabbajitānaṃ (sī.)] bahujanaparivāro; lābhī hoti cīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsanagilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhārānaṃ; bahussuto hoti sutadharo sutasannicayo, ye te dhammā ādikalyāṇā majjhekalyāṇā pariyosānakalyāṇā sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ abhivadanti, tathārūpāssa dhammā bahussutā honti dhātā vacasā paricitā manasānupekkhitā diṭṭhiyā appaṭividdhā; micchādiṭṭhiko hoti viparītadassano, so bahujanaṃ saddhammā vuṭṭhāpetvā asaddhamme patiṭṭhāpeti. Thero bhikkhu rattaññū cirapabbajito itipissa diṭṭhānugatiṃ āpajjanti , ñāto thero bhikkhu yasassī sagahaṭṭhapabbajitānaṃ bahujanaparivāro itipissa diṭṭhānugatiṃ āpajjanti, lābhī thero bhikkhu cīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsanagilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhārānaṃ itipissa diṭṭhānugatiṃ āpajjanti, bahussuto thero bhikkhu sutadharo sutasannicayo itipissa diṭṭhānugatiṃ āpajjanti. ‘‘Katamehi pañcahi? 89. ‘‘Pañcime, bhikkhave, dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattanti. Katame pañca ? Kammārāmatā, bhassārāmatā, niddārāmatā, saṅgaṇikārāmatā, yathāvimuttaṃ cittaṃ na paccavekkhati – ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattanti.

‘‘Pañcime, bhikkhave, dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṃvattanti. Katame pañca? Na kammārāmatā, na bhassārāmatā, na niddārāmatā, na saṅgaṇikārāmatā, yathāvimuttaṃ cittaṃ paccavekkhati – ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṃvattantī’’ti. Navamaṃ.

哪五法？他是长老，经历长久，出家已久；他有名声，为在家出家众人所知，有众多随从；他获得衣服、饮食、住处、病人所需药品等资具；他多闻，受持所闻，积集所闻，凡是那些初善、中善、后善，有义、有文的法，宣说完全圆满清净的梵行，如是诸法为他多闻、忆持、熟习、意念观察、但见解未能通达；他持邪见，见解颠倒，使众多人离开正法，安立于非法。因为他是长老，经历长久，出家已久，人们就效仿他的见解；因为他是有名声的长老比丘，为在家出家众人所知，有众多随从，人们就效仿他的见解；因为他是获得衣服、饮食、住处、病人所需药品等资具的长老比丘，人们就效仿他的见解；因为他是多闻、受持所闻、积集所闻的长老比丘，人们就效仿他的见解。诸比丘，具足这五法的长老比丘，行为不利于众人，不为众人安乐，为许多人带来无益、不利、痛苦，为天人带来痛苦。

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu appamattakena kammena divasaṃ atināmeti; riñcati paṭisallānaṃ, nānuyuñjati ajjhattaṃ cetosamathaṃ. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, dutiyo dhammo sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattati.

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu saṃsaṭṭho viharati gahaṭṭhapabbajitehi ananulomikena gihisaṃsaggena; riñcati paṭisallānaṃ, nānuyuñjati ajjhattaṃ cetosamathaṃ . Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, tatiyo dhammo sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattati.

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu akālena gāmaṃ pavisati, atidivā paṭikkamati; riñcati paṭisallānaṃ, nānuyuñjati ajjhattaṃ cetosamathaṃ. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, catuttho dhammo sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattati.

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu yāyaṃ kathā ābhisallekhikā cetovivaraṇasappāyā, seyyathidaṃ – appicchakathā santuṭṭhikathā pavivekakathā asaṃsaggakathā vīriyārambhakathā sīlakathā samādhikathā paññākathā vimuttikathā vimuttiñāṇadassanakathā, evarūpiyā kathāya na nikāmalābhī hoti na akicchalābhī na akasiralābhī [kicchalābhī kasiralābhī (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī)]; riñcati paṭisallānaṃ, nānuyuñjati ajjhattaṃ cetosamathaṃ. ‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu asaṃsaṭṭho viharati gahaṭṭhapabbajitehi ananulomikena gihisaṃsaggena; na riñcati paṭisallānaṃ, anuyuñjati ajjhattaṃ cetosamathaṃ . Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, tatiyo dhammo sekhassa bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṃvattati.
